The stack-picker quiz itself runs entirely in your browser. It doesn't send your answers anywhere, and we don't run any analytics. The only thing stored is your quiz progress, saved locally on your device so you can pick up where you left off. This page explains that in detail, plus how cookies and advertising work if you see ads on this site.

Using the quiz on the homepage does not transmit any data to us. Your answers are processed locally in your browser to compute a recommendation, and nothing about your session is sent to a server we operate.

If you email us at [email protected], we receive whatever you include in that email — typically your address and message content — and use it only to respond to you.

Stack Picker saves your in-progress quiz answers in your browser's localStorage so a refresh doesn't lose your place. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data or finishing/restarting the quiz.

We don't set any tracking or advertising cookies ourselves. If you see a cookie banner, it's there so you can tell us whether you're okay with the categories of cookies described below — your choice is stored locally and you can change it any time using the "cookie settings" link in the footer.

This site may display ads served by Google, including through Google AdSense. If it does, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and to measure ad performance. You can learn more about how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage or opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com or via aboutads.info/choices.

The DM Sans and DM Mono typefaces used on this site are self-hosted — your browser downloads them from stack-picker.com, not from Google, so no font request leaves this site.

If you're in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with data protection rights, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or object to how it's used — though as noted above, we don't hold much beyond what you send us by email. Stack Picker isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
